Color matching can be very simple or very complex based on numerous amounts of factors. The greatest factor that comes into play is the materials used to make the color. For example; powder coating consist of a solid powder being liquefied onto a metal substrate then being converted back into a solid essentially forming a hard plastic film. The pigments used to get the color we specify are completely different than our conventional paint. Knowing this factor, their will always be a slight variance in color. Getting an exact paint match is near impossible but with today's technology, we can get extremely close or close enough where the human eye can not detect a difference in color.
