What Is RAL Touch Up Paint?
RAL Touch Up Paint is paint formulated to match the official RAL standard that can be applied direct to metal, plastics, & powder coated finishes. The primary market RAL matched paint is used by is the architectural paint market to prevent rust & make scratches look pretty since the system uses a variety of common colors to choose from. Typically the paint base is a modified alkyd acrylic enamel which allows the paint to be used in a variety of fast drying applications such as aerosols, touch up pens, & 2oz bottles. The paint can also be used out of conventional HVLP guns and other airless spraying applications.
History
RAL is a color matching system used in Europe that is created and administrated by the German RAL, which is a subsidiary of the German RAL Institute. RAL refers to the RAL Classic system, mainly used for varnish and powder coating but nowadays there are reference panels for plastics as well. Approved RAL products are provided with a hologram as of early 2013 to make unauthorized versions difficult to produce. We offer almost all the RAL colors here at LVP Paints in a Touch Up Application
